Beni tanımlayan unsurlar ve bu projedeki motivasyonum nedir? Doğanın kaotik yapısı içerisindeki o küçük kesitlerde bir anlam görmek ve buna duyduğum merak…

Doğayı dinledikten sonra ona bir “cevap” vermek, işte o kesitlerdeki anlamı yakalamakla ilgili. Kendime sık sık “Neden atmosfer?” diye soruyorum. Sanırım bunun sebebi; sonsuz sayıdaki mikro ölçekli kaotik yapının koca bir fenomene dönüşmesini, bir kümülonimbus bulutunda baştan sona izleyebilmenin mümkün olması.

“O kümülonimbusun içinde senin, benim ve diğer her şeyin bir parçası var. Yükseklerde kaybolup tekrar bize dönen bu şiirsel düşünce beni adeta bedenimden çıkartıyor; 5000 metredeki bir kar tanesi ile yeryüzüne süzülen bir özgürlüğe sürüklüyor.”

İşte Tramesonet, o kar tanesinin yeryüzüne düşerken anlattığı hikayeyi dijital dünyada yeniden inşa etme çabasıdır. Veriler, grafikler ve sensörler; sadece o özgürlüğe ve o kaotik şiire eşlik etmemi sağlayan birer araç.

Benim için bu proje bir veri toplama merkezinden öte, doğanın konuşma dili olan matematiği kullanarak o muazzam fenomeni “işitme” halidir. Görebildiğim her anlamlı kesit, bütüne varmanın bir yoludur.

Meaning Within Chaos

What defines me, and what is my motivation behind this project? The answer is simple, yet equally profound: It is the meaning I find within the small segments of nature’s chaotic structure and my deep curiosity for it…

Responding to nature after listening to it is all about perceiving the meaning within those segments. I often ask myself, “Why the atmosphere?” I believe it is because one can witness the transformation of an infinite number of micro-scale chaotic structures into a massive phenomenon, from start to finish, within a single cumulonimbus cloud.

“There is a piece of you, of me, and of everything else inside that cumulonimbus. This poetic thought—lost in the heights only to return to us—lifts me beyond myself; it drifts me into a sense of freedom, gliding toward the earth with a snowflake at 5,000 meters.”

This is what Tramesonet represents: an endeavor to reconstruct in the digital world the story that the snowflake tells as it falls to the ground. Data, graphs, and sensors are merely the tools that allow me to accompany that freedom and that chaotic poetry.

For me, this project is more than just a data collection hub; it is a state of “hearing” that magnificent phenomenon by using mathematics—the native language of nature. Every meaningful segment I can perceive is a way of reaching the whole.
